Ladies, join us for an evening of encouragement, fellowship, and sharing. At this event, please consider sharing something that God is doing in your life in order to encourage the women around you! You're also welcome to come and listen, as these events are always a blessing to all who attend! Teen ladies are also encouraged to attend. Childcare is available with registration.
New City Students are going to Ignite Youth Leadership Conference March 14th-15th! This trip is for High school students and Leaders to take a trip to Des Moines, Iowa to invest in your relationship with Jesus! At Ignite we will hear from different speakers like Levi Lusko and Jon Jorgenson, and others. There will also be breakouts at night and during the day Saturday with intentional topics that you students encounter.
Leaders this is a great opportunity for you to hear topics that our students are faced with and prepare yourself for conversations! We will take off Friday at 12pm (please eat before you come). Housing is TBD. We will return Saturday night by 10pm. They will have merch that you can purchase, we will stop and get food on the way back, and most likely stop at a gas station while we are there, all of that will be on you. Please register and pay by December 15th.

Students 6th-12th, this year we are going to Camp Siloam in Siloam Springs, AR! Camp will run from Monday afternoon to Friday Morning. Each day we will have worship, small groups, team games, there is free time, and some late night games. Camp Siloam has something for everyone, basketball, sand volleyball, swimming pool, gaga ball, ping pong, and more! The goal for us is to get away for a week to grow in our relationship with Jesus and one another, as well as having fun while we do it! Please register and pay by June 8.

We are excited for what God has planned for West of Shawnee this year. Part of our SEEK budget included planting a campus West of Shawnee. At this gathering, we will have a time of worship and Pastor Matt will talk more about what God is doing with this ministry in 2025. We hope if you would like to join the launch or are simply interested in what is going on with this ministry, you will join us. There will be Kid City available for Infants - 5th grade.

Students we are going to Winter Jam 2025! This is a $15 CASH general admission concert, with several christian artists. We will leave at 4:30pm from the Church and head to T-Mobile Center! Parents are welcome to join. Leaders and Parents if you are able and willing to drive students, that would help us carpool students there! We will be standing in line so dress warm. When we get inside there is food, drinks, and merch if you would like to purchase stuff on your own!

New City has reserved the theatre to watch the Best Christmas Pageant Ever together! This is a great story that will go right along with our series starting in December called "Messy Christmas." This movie is directed by the same director as "The Chosen." We hope you can come along with family and friends to spend a night at the theatre having a fun night out!

Let's bless the community around us through the giving of Thanksgiving meal kits! Join us as we deliver meals to families in our neighborhoods and pray with them. We connect with our community partners like project home, caring for kids, advice and aid and foster care agencies to find families in need this season and bless them. It's one of the best Sundays of the whole year, you won't want to miss it! Gather in the sanctuary after 2nd service to pray, get a meal kit and disperse.

Ladies, please join us for a potluck dinner and time to share what God has been doing in our lives. Plan to bring a dish to share: a main course, side dish, or a dessert. Also, consider sharing with your table or with the whole group something God has been doing or teaching you lately. Let's celebrate Him with thanksgiving! Let's open our driveways on Halloween for a safe place for friends, family, and neighbors to spend a fun night together! Hosting a Halloween Driveway Party can include a fire pit, hotdogs, candy, or hot chocolate for a fun idea to keep warm after a chilly night of trick-or-treating. New City will provide yard signs saying "This driveway hosted by New City," as well as candy or hot dogs for your driveway party (your choice between the two).
If hosting, your address will also be shared in New City Shawnee's Facebook community group as a "safe stop" for Halloween night. Please register your driveway online by October 18th so we know who is hosting!
Leadership Community is for anyone currently serving on any of our ministry teams AND anyone currently looking to get plugged in! Be encouraged and hear what's happening in the upcoming month at the church and then break off to have a meeting with your ministry team. Childcare and lunch provided with registration.

Join us for a Fall cleanup. Fall cleanup involves a combination of practical maintenance tasks and aesthetic improvements, all aimed at ensuring the church is well-maintained and welcoming for its community. We will have tasks for everyone including the kids. Please sign up and let us know what tools you are able to bring.
New City Students 6th-12th, join us for Fall Retreat 2024! This year we are talking about you being ONE of a Kind from Psalms 139:14! We will have worship, teaching, small groups, fun activities, tournaments, and more! Meals will be provided Friday night through Sunday morning. We will stay in the cabins Friday and Saturday night at Youth Front Campgrounds in Edgerton, KS.

You've heard of Galentines - well the ladies in the Shawnee Young Adults Ministry decided we need more than just one day a year to get together around some delicious breakfast food! Invite a friend and come hang out with the gals for a women's potluck brunch. Breakfast casserole and coffee will be provided. Please register and comment what you are planning to bring. We are excited to take Prayer and Praise to the Park for our last one of 2024! Join us at Erfurt Park in Shawnee as we go out into the Community for a time of fun, prayer and worship. We will have drinks and games to hang out in the park at 5:00 PM before the service begins at 6:30 PM. Come, bring family, friends, and neighbors to come relax and spend time in the presence of God. Please bring your lawn chairs.
