Parents we invite you to join us on May 8th at Overflow! See what a Wednesday night looks like, hear about important dates for your student, and meet other parents! We will not have food this time but we will have child care for your younger ones!

Ladies, join us for a lovely evening in the Thomas's garden and greenhouse. We'll have a garden tour, homegrown snacks, and time for learning and fellowship in the midst of His creation. This is an event you don't want to miss, so be sure to invite a friend! Women high school age and up are welcome to attend. Please register so we can plan for your attendance. There will be no childcare available since this event is off-site.
This month's Prayer and Praise will look a little different. We will begin at NOON on May 18 and go till NOON on May 19 - The Day of Pentecost - which in scripture is the day the disciples received the Holy Spirit. This also marks the promise that we too can have the Holy Spirit. Every 2 hours we will have a new worship leader lead us in worship, along with prayer prompts on different topics as we simply come to spend time in the presence of the Lord and seek Him.
It's that time of year! Our littles are growing and have completed another school year. This means it's time to move them up to the next class in Kid City and Student City. This can be a very exciting time for many but also sometimes a little scary for some. We in family ministry will do what we can to make your kids feel welcome and loved in their new spaces and want to partner with parents in this new phase.

Join us as we celebrate our Seniors in Student City, May 26th at our 11 AM service! We are going to take time to encourage our seniors and send them out! Graduates families that plan to attend, please register so we can have enough food and make sure we are prepared for your graduate!
Join us May 29-31 for a 3-night Student City conference to encourage and equip students in their faith! This is for all students 6th-12th grade! Each night from 6:30-9:30 PM we will gather to worship, hear a message from God's word, discuss with small groups, and hang after! Our heart is not just to have a gathering of students but for them to grow in their faith! We want to see students take steps to live like Jesus personally and in the city we live in! God is working already and we believe he wants to do more through the students at New City and in the community. We can't wait to see you!

CIY Conference will be here before we know it! Students across New City going into 9th-12th grade, MOVE is for you! July 8th we will take off in the morning and return July 12th, Friday! We are going to Lincoln, Nebraska for 5 days! We will stay in the dorms at the University of Nebraska, they will feed us 3 meals a day, we will have main sessions that consist of worship, speakers, games, and then small groups throughout each day! This is a great time for you to spend intentional time with Jesus for a week and get closer to your peers from New City!
Please put your deposit of $65 down to reserve you spot. The total cost for Move is $500. If you are needing help financially please reach out to your campus Student City minister/director. Every student that wants to go, we will do our best to get you there.

We will stay in the dorms at John Brown University, they will feed us 3 meals a day, we will have main sessions that consist of worship, speakers, games, and then small groups throughout each day! This is a great time for you to spend intentional time with Jesus for a week and get closer to your peers from New City!

Will you open your driveways for a safe place for your friends, family, and neighbors to spend a fun night together? Maybe add a fire pit, hot dogs, candy, and some hot chocolate for a fun touch to a chilly night of trick-or-treating. New City will provide yard signs saying "This driveway hosted by New City" and we will also be providing some candy or hot dogs for your driveway (your choice between the two). If hosting your address will be posted on the New City FB pages as "safe stops" for Halloween night. Please register your driveway so we know who is hosting!

Kid City is having a PIZZA PARTY! We will hang out and play games to begin, and then enjoy pizza and a movie. Bring your friends! This event is for Pre-K through 5th grade. Parents are welcome to stay but also welcome to go have a parent's night out while the Kid City team hangs with your littles.
Registration is required for attendance. Please register by March 10th so that we have an accurate count for volunteers and food.
The goal of Ignite Youth Leadership conference is to equip and train students, student leaders, and team members with Biblical principles. Principles that will help each church or ministry accomplish the goal of reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are High School student (9th-12th grad) @ New City and want to spend time to invest in your spiritual growth this is for you! We will take off from Shawnee @ 9am and come back Saturday @ 10pm. We will get there have lunch, hang out at an outlet mall (lunch is on you), than we will take off to the event. The conference goes Friday evening through Saturday afternoon, they will provide lunch. We will be staying at a church Friday night with a group of other churches. At the conference there are speakers, worship, and breakouts where you will dive into specific topics like sexuality, anxiety, worship, the bible, ministry opportunities! This is a great opportunity that we believe will help you grow in your faith!
The cost is $100, please register by December 22nd so we can save your spot for the trip!
Students join us at Main Event in Olathe. For $15, you will have 1 hour of bowling, all you can play activities: pool, laser tag, gravity ropes, 2 slices of Pizza and a medium drink with a 1 Hour Arcade FunCard. Feel free to bring extra money for more food or for more games on the card. Bring a friend to join you!
We will meet at Main Event, if you need a ride let Adam know and we can organize your student getting there. Pickup is anytime before 9pm. Register and pay your $15 when you register or give Adam cash when you get to the event!

Student Ministry is going to Winter Jam at T-mobile center on Sunday, January 21st! This is a concert with multiple bands, such as Crowder, Lecrae, Cain, and more! Doors open @ 4:00 pm and will end around 10:00 pm. We will be leaving Shawnee @ 2:00 pm to get in line! In order for everyone to eat and leave on time we will be doing food in the student room @ 12:30 pm and feed those going before we go! Parents you are welcome to join. Leaders and Parents due to the amount of kids, we will need several to drive, if that is something you would be willing please fill that out when you register! New City will cover your parking! All please dress accordingly as we will be waiting outside!

Baptism is the first step of obedience for a follower of Jesus. Baptism by immersion symbolizes the believer joining with Jesus in His death and resurrection. We believe baptism is a public proclamation of our new life as a follower of Jesus. If you register, a deacon will reach out to discuss baptism with you!

You won't want to miss as we celebrate Jesus, participate in a white elephant gift exchange and Christmas games, and of course enjoy food and homemade desserts! Bring a $10 gift for the white elephant exchange and register by December 17th so we can prepare enough food. Invite a friend and we will see you there!

Christmas time is here! If you are looking for eggnog, treats, sweets & snacks you have come to the right place! Hangout with us as we watch a Christmas movie. We will also have a white elephant gift exchange, with a $15 limit.
We can't wait to see you there!
Come mingle and jingle with Kid City and New City ELA. Sing along while the children perform fun Christmas carols and read the Christmas Story. Performance will begin at 6:30 but come early and enjoy some hot cocoa and Christmas cookies with us. Bring your moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles too.
Please register number of people attending so we make sure to have enough cookies for all.
